Christian protests against Jerry Springer the Opera have caused theatres to be half empty, the show's production company has admitted.
A spokesman for the company told the Daily Telegraph (Saturday 18 March) that the national tour was heading for a £300,000 loss. The spokesman blamed it all on Christian protests.
The Christian Institute has been involved in protesting against the blasphemous show. Other Christian groups have also been involved in various initiatives. At a local level, Christians have been coming together to organise local protests.
Rather than giving the show free publicity, it seems the peaceful protests of many hundreds of Christians around the nation have persuaded people to stay away from the offensive show.
