The Sexual Orientation Regulations

Peter Hain

Peter Hain was responsible for instigating the regulations in Northern Ireland

New laws passed by Parliament threaten to curtail the freedom of Christians to act according to the Bible's teaching on sexual ethics. The Government's Sexual Orientation Regulations may, for example, lead to Christian old people's homes being sued if they refuse a married room to homosexuals. There are calls for these laws to be used to prevent teachers saying that homosexual practice is wrong.

Joe and Helen Roberts

Joe & Helen Roberts

Joe and Helen Roberts were fully vindicated.

An elderly couple were interrogated by the police for over an hour because they complained to the council about its gay rights policies. In a landmark victory the police and council apologised and compensated the Roberts for their wrongful action.

Daniel Scot

Daniel Scot

Daniel Scot warned against a religious hatred offence.

Daniel Scot is an Australian pastor was wrongly convicted of a 'religious vilification' crime in 2003. He spoke out against the UK's Government's plans for a Religious Hatred law in 2005. Thankfully his warning was heeded and the Government failed in it's attempt to bring a very dangerous law to the statute books. But Daniel's own case in Australia continues.
