Under this Bill (now an Act):
- Churches
will face litigation from male 'transsexuals' who want the
right to use facilities for women or the right to join the
church.
- Church
leaders could face legal action in the secular courts if
they refuse to marry two biological men.
- A vicar
could be given a criminal record and fined £5,000
for telling his curate that a 'woman' in the congregation
is a male transsexual.
